If our wording, or a figure we worked out, is wrong, we'll correct it and tell you. If the mistake is in the MOT record itself, we can't change it, but the next section explains who can.

Only the test centre or DVSA can correct it. Within 28 days of the test, ask the test centre. After that, report it to DVSA: correcting MOT certificate mistakes on GOV.UK. For a wrong mileage, DVSA needs evidence of the right reading dated within one day of the test. Once DVSA corrects its record, our report updates within a day.
